Successful installation of a DTF printer in Carinthia (near Slovenj Gradec)

Over the past few days, we successfully completed the installation and commissioning of a DTF printer for a client in the Carinthia region, near Slovenj Gradec. The project included the complete system setup, calibration, and a test run, ensuring the printer is immediately ready for stable and high-quality production after installation.

Why DTF and why 2× EPSON I3200?

DTF (Direct-to-Film) technology has become one of the most popular solutions for textile printing because it enables:

• excellent color vibrancy and good coverage,
• printing on a wide range of materials (cotton, polyester, blends),
• fewer limitations on designs (fine details, color gradients, solid areas).

For this setup, we used a DTF printer with two EPSON I3200 printheads, which offers concrete advantages:

• higher productivity (faster prints, more pieces in the same time),
• better consistency for larger series,
• the possibility of more efficient work with complex designs (solid colors, white, fine details).

What did the on-site installation involve?

To ensure the system operated reliably from day one, we carried out the entire setup and commissioning process:

1) Environment Setup and Verification
First, we ensured the correct placement of the equipment and established the basic conditions for stable operation (workspace, layout, accessibility, safe use).

2) DTF System Assembly and Component Connection
This was followed by mechanical assembly, connecting key system components, and preparing for initial startup.

3) Calibration, Settings, and Adjustment
Precise adjustment is crucial for DTF printing. We performed:

• basic printhead calibration,
• alignment and settings for even application,
• control prints and stability checks.

4) Test Prints and Quality Verification
After startup, we created test designs, checked color accuracy, white density, details, and repeatability. The goal was for the client to immediately receive results suitable for real production use.

5) Brief User Training
Upon handover, we demonstrated basic operating procedures, what to pay attention to during daily use, and how to maintain the system to ensure its reliability and quality.

Result: A system ready for stable production

The installation was successful, the printer operates stably, and test prints showed very good quality – from vibrant colors to precise details. The client in Carinthia thus gains a powerful DTF solution that enables faster workflows and more efficient production of personalized products.
